PROFESSIONAL DOG TRAINERS COURSE
Learn to
be a Professional Dog Trainer
Anyone can train a dog, but if they can't tell YOU, the
dog owner, how to do it, what good is the instruction?
Morrison Canine's state-of-the-art training centres
dedicate their full resources to teaching students all
aspects of dog training, from basic nutrition and health
requirements of a dog, right through to aggression therapy
and 65 topics in between! Most important, however, is that
all trainees are taught how to communicate their knowledge
to dog owners in a common sense and logical manner so the
owner of the dog can accomplish the training.
With over
40 years of experience, Doug Morrison, a certified Dog
Master, has a far ranging and comprehensive knowledge of
all breeds of dogs, alternative methods of problem solving
and a limitless supply of contacts in the "dog"
world. His world renowned reputation has earned him the
highest honours from the United Nations Accreditation for
Dog Handling allow him to provide services and information
on all fields of training, whether it be for show or just
family enjoyment.
Working closely with all his trainees, Mr. Morrison's
one-on-one personal training allows them to accomplish
their common goal of excellence in the dog training field.
Even after successful completion of the dog trainer's
course, students can always rely on Doug for advice,
clarification or direction.

Through
proper guidance, all the trainees work hand in hand with
myself, are then progressed to giving lessons to my own
students. Both on and off leash training is given to the
students under my guidance.
All trainees are trained in puppy kindergarten, basic
obedience, advanced obedience, obstacle agility work, and
introduced to tracking. An introduction to protection is
now offered as well. Guidance is for the student at all
times after graduating. During the first year of operation
Mr. Morrison conducts a visit to the new school. As a
helping aid or seminars for the new dog trainer.
After the first year of operation, any additional training
for specialized work is then implemented.
Learn
to be a Professional Dog Trainer
I
am from Japan and came to Canada for two reasons.
1) to improve my English, and
2) to become a professional dog trainer.
While I was studying English, I happened to listen to an
interview on the radio that was broadcast from Kosovo. The
interview was with a person by the name of Doug
Morrison, who was stationed in Kosovo working
dogs in the mine fields. The more I listened, the more
intrigued I became. I heard him say he was from Ottawa and
would be returning in Nov. 2000.
I
had been looking into the different organizations that
give dog trainers courses, but I must admit, I was
completely taken by the interview I was listening to.
I
knew nothing about this person so I did my research, and
after talking to the Canadian government, I made up my
mind. I wanted to be trained by only Doug Morrison.
I waited patiently until he returned and phoned.
I
met with Doug, and could tell we hit it
off. My English was not that great but Doug
assured me that we would take our time, and he could see
me finishing the course in the allotted time frame that I
was on. One thing I didn't realize was that the majority
of dog trainers in the Ottawa area were trained by Mr.
Morrison. His incredible experiences and
expertise with dogs and people made my choice a no
contest. I enrolled in his Professional Dog Trainers
Course.
Not only did I find his expertise with dogs incredible but
his patience with me is something I will never forget. The
time I have spent with Doug is a
significant part of my life, and wish other people could
just meet him to realize what a warm, knowledgeable person
he is.
I asked Doug if I could say something on
his web site to thank him the right way. He has allowed me
to give you this testimonial. Thank you, Doug,
for giving me a chance for my dream to come true. I would
also like to thank his wife June for putting up with me as
well and all the friendly students that I have had the
opportunity to teach.
I am very proud to say that I am returning to Japan, and
opening up a Morrison Canine Concepts dog training school.
I can hardly wait until the spring of 2002 when Doug
comes over to put on my first seminar. AKIKO
